TriCon Builders delivered a new 8,000-square-foot eye care facility for Destination Eyecare, replacing the former Blountville Family Eyecare space with a modern, purpose-built building designed around patient flow and clinical efficiency. The project features a striking exterior, a vaulted lobby filled with natural light, and clean, contemporary interior finishes that support both front-of-house and clinical operations.

Working alongside architect Steve Hutton, TriCon Builders managed the full planning and construction process for this new facility. The design uses a mix of brick, stone, and expansive windows to elevate curb appeal while maximizing daylight throughout the interior. Inside, the space includes a large reception and optical retail area, exam rooms, collaborative workstations, and streamlined staff support areas—all arranged to reduce bottlenecks and improve patient experience.
A vaulted lobby with large-format windows anchors the building and sets the tone for the practice. High ceilings, warm wall textures, and modern casework create a welcoming environment for patients, while the generous floor plan provides space for optical displays, comfortable seating, and accessible circulation.
Clinical areas were constructed with an emphasis on workflow, giving staff efficient access to exam rooms, diagnostic equipment, and charting stations. Durable flooring, clean-lined millwork, and controlled lighting contribute to a professional and practical clinical setting.
Back-of-house spaces include workstations, administrative areas, and support rooms that allow the team to operate smoothly even on high-volume days. TriCon coordinated closely with the design team to ensure these zones functioned seamlessly with the public areas of the practice.
