CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT & GENERAL CONTRACTING
We are construction experts and don't expect you to be. Our Construction Management service provides you with a single point of contact who has your best interest in mind for the duration of the project. This includes general contracting, architecting services, site selection, permitting, value engineering, project planning, costing, contract administration and more. You have a single number to call from start to finish.
TriCon has a combined 60 years of custom home experience and most of that is right here in east Tennessee. As a Construction Management company, TriCon is able to "turn key" your custom home. We deal with construction planning, architecture, design, costing, scheduling, permitting, communication management and sub contracting. You are assigned a single point of contact that is a home building expert that will collaborate and consult with you during the entire process.
CONSTRUCTION PLANNING & ESTIMATING
Whether you have just an idea of what you want to build or a full set of plans, we start with a sit down meeting to figure out how best to approach your specific construction project. Your project is assigned a Construction Manager who will be your point of contact for the duration of the project. They will work with you to determine the best approach to complete the planning. They will assign the remainder of the construction team as required to best serve the needs of your project.
DESIGN-BUILD CONSTRUCTION METHOD
TriCon has successfully completed many projects using the Design-Build methodology. In a Design-Build relationship, the owner, architect, engineers, and contractor collectively work together to maintain the integrity of the owner’s needs and desires while considering budgets and schedules. This team oriented approach allows us to establish a project’s cost very early on and helps the team control potential overruns and project scope creep. Design-Build construction gives an owner greater project control by working through preliminary design phases, cost analysis, document completion, construction, and project closeout via a single point of contact.
Raymond McBride and TriCon Builders recently completed a remodeling and clinical expansion project for our offices at Ear, Nose & Throat Associates in Johnson City. They did an outstanding job relocating our Allergy Department, building out three additional exam rooms, and adding physician office space. We were very impressed with how they were able to complete construction, on-time and on-budget, without any significant impact on our on-going daily operations all within a busy medical / surgical practice. Great work and great folks to work with, we highly recommend Raymond McBride and TriCon Builders!

RAYMOND MCBRIDE - OWNER/OPERATOR
The company is owned and operated by Raymond McBride. Raymond has over 18 years of construction experience in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia and has been directly associated with over 100 million dollars of projects. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with his B. S. in Construction Engineering Technology and Masters in Business Administration (MBA). In 2014, he was awarded 40 Under Forty for business success and achievements as an active member of the community. Raymond currently sits on the board of directors for Blue Ridge Medical Management Corporation and for the Summit Leadership Foundation. Raymond and his wife Susan live in Johnson City with their three children.
ODELL CASH - VICE PRESIDENT & CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Odell has over twenty three years of construction experience, managing over 100 million dollars in projects. He is a licensed contractor in the state of Tennessee and qualifying agent in Virginia, and holds an A.A.S. degree in drafting design with a concentration on architectural and structural design from Northeast State Community College. Odell and his wife Amanda live in Jonesborough, TN with their three children
TOM SEXTON - COMMERCIAL ESTIMATOR & PROJECT MANAGER
Tom has been a staple in the commercial construction community in the Tri-Cities for over 20 years. He began his career working in the field shortly after graduating from ETSU. While working for another large regional contractor, Tom quickly was promoted to estimator and eventually project manager. He has worked on many large projects in our region and specializes in medical office and hospital construction. Tom and his wife Alisha reside in Stoney Creek, TN and they have two adult children and four grandchildren.
DAVID RUPERT - FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER
Dave heads up our field operations for the commercial division of the construction company. He has worked in the construction industry for 25 years and was a senior superintendent for another regional contractor for 18 years. Dave oversees our “day to day” operations in the field, working directly with each superintendent at the project sites to ensure quality control measures and schedules are being met. Dave has two adult sons and he and his wife Amy reside in Johnson City.
TOBY WILLIAMS - RESIDENTIAL PROJECT MANAGER
Toby has lived in the Tri-Cities area and has worked in the construction trades his whole life. Early in his career Toby worked in the family business, one of the largest masonry contractors in the area. He was exposed to a wealth of knowledge in both commercial and residential construction. A “jack of all trades”, Toby oversees the daily operations of our residential construction division. Through his experiences, he has gained knowledge and wisdom that our customers depend on. Toby and his wife Christina reside in Telford, TN with their five children.
